The department of Automated Systems Engineering Technologies (ASET) is researching and developing technologies to support system engineers and automate time-consuming or error-prone tasks and process steps. We do research in an application-oriented manner and test our technologies continuously in practice.

A key challenge we face is the development of autonomous driving.

To meet this challenge, we are developing on four areas of competence: Natural Language Processing, the use of Artificial Intelligence for Systems Engineering, Model-based Engineering and Formal Analysis.

Andreas Vogelsang is appointed a Junior-Fellow of the German Informatics Society (GI).

Welcome Ola
We are happy to have Ola Benderius of Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg for the following four weeks as a guest to discuss Software Engineering for autonomous driving.

Further reinforcement
Our group continues to grow. Since this week, our two new doctoral students Florian and Tiago have started..

Paper at NLDB
Our Paper for the Improvement of the Comprehensibility of a Machine Learning Approach in Requirements Engineering was accepted at the NLDB conference in Belgium. Here is the paper

The SPES XT book is here
The results of the research project SPES_XT, in which we were involved together with over 20 partners from industry and universities, are now available as a book at Springer .

We get reinforcements
We are delighted that Florian, Jannis, Jannik, Christoph and Patrick from 1.2. As student assistants. Welcome!

Best Paper Award
Our paper for different treatment of functional and non-functional requirements in practice receives Best Paper Award at the PROFES PROFES conference in Trondheim. Here is the paper.

Dissertation award
Andreas Vogelsang receives the Kamm-Jante medal for vehicle technology for his dissertation..
